The road to $500,000 travels through hallowed grounds on Tuesday night. A staple in the open wheel community has become a staple once again for the stock car community, as Indianapolis Motor Speedway—the Brickyard—returned to NASCAR Crown Jewel status, racing on the 2.5-mile rectangular oval in real-world competition again as of the 2024 season.
From 2010 to 2020, the famed venue was included on every eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Championship Series schedule, but from 2021 to 2023, as the real-world Cup competition opted to traverse the infield Road Course, it was taken off the top level esports series as well. It returned in dramatic fashion in 2024 and has remained since. Round 6 of the 2026 season will take the 40 car field back home again to Indiana as tickets to the 2026 Playoffs continue to dwindle down.
Steven Wilson looks to defend his 2025 victory against 2024 winner, Daniel Faulkingham, 2017 winner Zack Novak, 2016 winner Dylan Duval, and the rest of the field all searching for their first win here. Coverage for the sixth round of the Championship Series season begins at 8 p.m. ET at eNASCAR.com/live and across iRacing social media channels. Tune in 15 minutes earlier to catch the Countdown to Green at 7:45 p.m. ET.
PREVIOUS RACE: GARRETT LOWE RETURNS TO WINNERS CIRCLE

In the two previous points-paying trips to Iowa Speedway, only one driver—Steven Wilson—has managed to make it into victory lane. Last Tuesday, a fixed setup race leveled the playing field, but didn’t completely keep Wilson out of the conversation. It was very hard to pass throughout the night, that sentiment no clearer than on the restarts, where the outside line went three-for-three against the bottom lane.
Garrett Lowe, the winner of the second Heat, was able to use that to get the jump on the opening Heat winner, Sebastian Marin. Surprisingly, the race stayed green the entire 90 laps, which set up for multiple strategies across the board. Wilson was the first to pit at halfway, which jumped him ahead of Lowe at the start of the cycle. Lowe, however, had two lap fresher tires, and while it was hard to pass, Lowe was still able to and get by Wilson before the pit cycle ended.
Wilson would fall back to finish in third, ending his winning streak. Lowe held off a late charge from Marin to claim his first win in the series since 2024, all but locking him into the 2026 eNASCAR Playoffs later in the season.
LAST YEAR: WILSON SAVES JUST ENOUGH FUEL

Even when Steven Wilson doesn’t dominate, he’s never got a zero percent chance at winning. With fumes in the gas tank, Wilson led the field back to the green in triple eNASCAR Overtime last year at the 2.5-mile rectangle, knowing well that his chances would end if a caution didn’t come out quick enough. Earlier in Overtime, the 2024 winner at Indy, Daniel Faulkingham, bit the bullet and pitted from the lead as he didn’t have the gas. Wilson, however, could afford to gamble with five wins already in the pocket, and it paid off for a sixth by the end of the night.
STANDINGS ENTERING INDIANAPOLIS
There are a number of points standings to keep an eye on this season besides the Driver’s Standings. There will also be Team Standings to keep track of, where the two drivers of each official team will earn points towards the Team Championship at the end of the season.
Every three races, there will be a three-race mini-championship, dubbed Segments, where the driver with the most points in that stretch will earn five additional Playoff Points. Finally, there are nine rookies competing this season, but only one can be the Rookie of the Year.

Steven Wilson, Bobby Zalenski, and now, Garrett Lowe, all have reserved a spot in the 2026 eNASCAR Playoffs. In Wilson’s case, he’s basically locked. Lowe is also looking great after moving up to third in the overall points standings. Zalenski, meanwhile, is flirting with the cut line, despite having two wins. His two wins have earned him a lot of points, but his other three finishes have left a lot on the table, and has him in a slight danger zone with four races to go.
Spire Motorsports leads the Team Championship thanks again mostly to Wilson’s efforts, although his teammate, Femi Olatunbosun, is tied for 14th after five races. Wilson is also in control of the second Segment with just one race to go, but the two BS+COMPETITION competitors in Lowe and Jordy Lopez are in striking distance at Indy. Finally, while Sebastian Marin had his breakout performance at Iowa, it is still Shawn Conklin leading the way in the Rookie of the Year battle.
INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY TRACK FACTS
Around since 1909, Indianapolis Motor Speedway was once paved with more than three million bricks. Known today as “The Racing Capital of the World”, Indy is perhaps one of the most iconic tracks to ever exist. Also known as “The Brickyard”, Indy hosted its first 500-mile race on Memorial Day of 1911, and nearly 83 years later, in 1994, came the first Brickyard 400 NASCAR event. For a few seasons, however, NASCAR took on the infield Road Course, but in 2024, the premier stock car racing series of America returned to the Oval, as did its virtual eSports counterpart.
NEXT RACE: SEGMENT 3 STARTS WITH NASHVILLE SUPERSPEEDWAY
Following Indianapolis, the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Championship Series will race next at Nashville Superspeedway in two weeks. Only three races will remain to secure a place in the 2026 eNASCAR Playoffs, all starting with the third and final Segment at the concrete venue,
Last season, Tucker Minter scored his third win of the 2025 season at Nashville, and his second at the track in-a-row, after a caution-free battle against Ryan Luza, Bobby Zalenski, and Steven Wilson.
The action from Nashville starts on July 28th with the Countdown to Green pre-race show at 7:45 p.m. ET.
