Luza’s back behind the (real) wheel

eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series standout Ryan Luza is not only an exceptional sim racer, but he’s also a heck of a real-world late model driver.

Luza planned to return to the driver’s seat of a late model last weekend at New Smyrna Speedway …

… but Mother Nature had other plans.

Guess it’s back to turning virtual practice laps for the 2017 Coca-Cola iRacing Series champion — in between nice-weather, real-world practice runs, of course.

eNASCAR and ASUS announce new gaming hardware partnership

eNASCAR just got an upgrade. Announced this morning, ASUS is now the Official Gaming Hardware of the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series.

Daly vs. Pastrana

Racers Conor Daly and Travis Pastrana don’t compete in NASCAR often, but a friendly iRacing rivalry is about to escalate to the real track Friday in the Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race from Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The pair will race as teammates for Niece Motorsports, so they’ll have to keep it more friendly than rivalry.

Wood Brothers Gaming drivers in the spotlight

TJ Majors wins Off Axis Paint 500

Last week, a group of industry figures competed in an iRacing exhibition race, the Off Axis Paint 500, using iRacing’s street stocks at the brand-new Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Spotter TJ Majors took home the checkered flag.

Tonight: Coca-Cola iRacing Series at Las Vegas

Just two races remain in the regular season for the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series. Tonight marks the final trip to (relative) sanity (maybe): Las Vegas Motor Speedway — then, it’s off to Talladega, but that’s a discussion for next week. 

The 2017 series champ Ryan Luza has won the last three Vegas races, but he’s facing a months-long winless drought. Meanwhile, the battle for the final playoff spot remains hot, with Ray Alfalla holding a 20-point lead over Brad Davies. We break down who to watch in this week’s Power Rankings.

iRacing paint scheme of the week

With the exciting announcement of Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin teaming up to field a new team with Bubba Wallace for 2021, we couldn’t help but think what such a car might look like. Perhaps we don’t have to look much further than Casey Kirwan’s Jordan-sponsored ride for Denny Hamlin Racing in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series.
