We’re previewing each team competing in the 2020 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series ahead of the season opener February 11 at Daytona International Speedway.
Wood Brothers Racing
Owner: The Wood Brothers, as the team’s name suggests – the longest-running NASCAR Cup Series team.
Making it official. We?ve signed @ChrisOverland47 and @GarrettLowe_6 to drive our two @ridespin Mustangs in the #eNASCAR @iRacing (can?t remember the rest) Series. We?re sharing one pen among the 3 of us so it?s a disaster signing these agreements. pic.twitter.com/N8gMPIXczR

No. 21: Garrett Lowe
Hometown: Charlotte, NC
First season: 2019
2019 rank: 8th
No. 16: Chris Overland
Hometown: San Antonio, TX
First season: 2012
2019 rank: 25th
By any standards, Garrett Lowe impressed as a rookie in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series, making the playoffs and winning at Michigan with Team Renegades – not to mention coming close to victory several times prior. He’ll move to the Wood Brothers to team up with Chris Overland, who finished second – barely – to Lowe in that same Michigan race. The Wood Brothers’ overall-first draft pick of Ray Alfalla resulted in a bust nobody could have predicted: the four-time champ went winless for the first time in series history, and had more flips than top-five finishes.
The Wood Brothers duo will make for an interesting matchup: an experienced veteran of 110 starts teams with a series sophomore. (We’re going to dub it “Loweverland.”) Chris Overland is still searching for his first-career win, believe it or not, but perhaps his time is coming. Garrett Lowe enters the season following a tremendous rookie year where he nearly made the Championship 4. We expect another year of experience under Lowe’s belt will make the No. 21 a contender.
Incredible experience the last two days with the @NASCAR @iRacing World Championship Media days in CLT! Met my new @woodbrothers21 teammate @ChrisOverland47, boss @_JonWood, and many others I have raced online with for years. Plus a great @GoProMotorplex & @SteaknShake meetup! pic.twitter.com/ugSWCVr02S
