Wide World of Esports: Dugger’s on iRacing, Heat Pro League Championship 4 set and Novak wins PEAK iRacing Series title

A New Challenger Approaches

Will Tim Dugger sing the national anthem over voice chat on the iRacing grid? Only time will tell, but we hope the answer is yes.

We’ll wait for @nascarcasm next.

Heat Pro League Championship 4 Set

Following an action-packed race week at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the eNASCAR Heat Pro League has determined its inaugural Championship 4.

SHG Slick 14x took the Homestead victory on Xbox after a fuel-mileage race, while ThAbEaR95 got the job done for Leavine Family Gaming on PlayStation — securing their teams a spot to battle for the championship.

Team Penske Esports, JR Motorsports, Stewart Haas Gaming and Leavine Family Gaming will compete for top honors September 23 at the virtual ISM Raceway. It’s the end of the road for Roush Fenway Gaming and Gibbs Gaming, who were eliminated following Homestead.

Zack Novak Wins PEAK iRacing Series Championship

Roush Fenway Racing’s Zack Novak edged G2 Esports’ Keegan Leahy on the final lap at Homestead-Miami Speedway Thursday to claim the 2019 eNASCAR PEAK Antifreeze iRacing Series title — a $40,000 payday.

The season finale was the first-ever PEAK iRacing Series race broadcast live on NBCSN, and the world’s fastest sim racers put on quite a memorable show.
