After winning an iRacing hot lap challenge competition, Logan Clampitt earned a shot in a real race car. The PEAK iRacing Series driver participated in a test session driving a Mazda MX-5 Cup road racing car — yes, the real thing.

Clampitt said his skills in the sim matched up well with what he experienced in the real world.

Kligerman Talks Esports

Last week on the NASCAR on NBC podcast, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver and PEAK iRacing Series team owner Parker Kligerman shared his thoughts about the role esports plays in developing drivers, his experience as a team owner, and what he envisions as the future of esports.

Tonight: PEAK iRacing Series at Sonoma

It’s also the debut of the new Ford Mustang on iRacing.

In two races at Sonoma Raceway, Bobby Zalenski took the checkered flag both times, though the Joe Gibbs Racing driver is still winless in 2019.
